Lawrence Odonnell is skewering that Sarah Huglybee Sanders. Have you noticed that she seems to not be able to get that hair together? She is looking more unattractive than usual and that one eye is trying to get away from her….lying and being unprepared and sneaky will do that to you.

Chris Matthews had two white congressmen on, one (R) from PA, one ( D) from OH. Neither would comment on assault weapons aka AR-15 being banned, their use being for killing multiple people, quickly. Who needs this? Certainly not a 19 year old, or anyone else.

I’m loving and enjoying reading every single post on here so much. In fact, I think I’ll do a repeat and read them all again. I can’t wait to go and see Black Panther. My daughter-in-law called me last night to tell me that her, my son, and granddaughter went to see it. She told me that she plans to buy the DVD when it comes out, which will be a first. Her, my siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, my children’s in-laws usually borrow my movies since I collect them. Yep, I collect movies and books. I’m hearing a lot of people who went to see the movie saying that they plan to buy the DVD when it comes out. Coogler had better makes plans to make more than the usual DVDs that are normally distributed. I see them breaking record sales when the DVD does come out. And still we rise!

BTW, no matter how much those that are jealous and hateful try and disparage the movies to stop its success, it won’t work. Doors will be opened!!! The boy is a genius with a brilliant mind. More hidden genius to come.

    • We’re planning on going back Friday, Granny. I want to absorb every moment.

      • GrannyStandingforTruth. says:

I am looking forward to seeing the movie and plan to take two of my granddaughters and my youngest daughter to go see it. My other grandchildren have already seen it. I want take the younger great grands that are ages two and three, but I know from experience they’re not gonna sit still and won’t let anyone enjoy the movie. We’d get kicked out the theater if I took them. Anyway, I plan to buy the DVD, so they can watch it here or later on when they’re older.

I’d like to have a chance to pay close visual attention to the heart-shaped herb garden and also to listen closely to the words of Killermonger’s father in the “dream” encounter.

And, of course, just a chance to see EVERYTHING again :)

    • rikyrah says:

      Granny.
Saw it on Sunday. Will see it again.
Am already ready for the DVD with the Director’s Cut.

“The raising of the Black Lives Matter flag at Burlington High School on Monday should serve as a banner of hope in a time when our society seems so divided over race.

“The BLM flag should be seen as a call to recognize the everyday racism, big and small, faced by people of color in the community, and as a call to have the honest discussion about race that needs happen throughout the state.

“Those who shout back, “all lives matter” in response to the Black Lives Matter banner deny the very real racism that is the daily reality of many black and other people of color, even in Vermont.

“Those who smear Black Lives Matter as a movement of racists and terrorists are merely reflecting their own hate triggered by having to confront their privilege.”

The president’s budget proposal is a shocking assault on millions of people who rely on rental assistance.”

    https://www.thenation.com/article/how-trump-plans-to-evict-poor-families-from-public-housing/

    Except:

“When President Donald Trump released his first budget proposal last year, it called for the deepest cuts to the Department of Housing and Urban Development since the early 1980s. This time around, the White House budget calls for a $6.8 billion cut to HUD in fiscal year 2019, or a 14 percent reduction, which is even deeper than what Trump demanded last year and. According to experts, it would be the most radical attack on federal housing aid since the US Housing Act became law in 1937. If enacted, the Trump budget would be a vicious eviction notice to millions of low-income families.

“The Trump budget provides only $18.6 billion to renew Housing Choice Vouchers in the upcoming fiscal year. That’s $900 million less than HUD itself estimates will be necessary to renew these vouchers in 2018, and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities believes it’s $1.9 billion short for 2019 when you factor in rent inflation and other factors.”

“I am extremely offended by his post as we all know the history and meaning of the hangman’s noose, especially as it pertains to African Americans,” Joseph wrote in a letter to the editor published on the Action News 17 site. “As a member of the school board, what message are you sending to the students, employees, and parents of our school system, let alone people that may be considering moving into our parish?”

“You later apologized to all that read your post; however, I remind you that Proverbs 23:7 says “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he,” wrote Joseph, who is also a former superintendent of the Tangipahoa Parish School District.

Trump’s ‘no foreign deals’ pledge came with an asterisk
    02/20/18 09:21 AM—UPDATED 02/20/18 09:42 AM
    By Steve Benen
At a press conference during the presidential transition period last year, a lawyer representing Donald Trump’s business assured the public that “no new foreign deals will be made whatsoever” during the Republican’s presidency.

And yet, here we are, reading reports like these in the Washington Post.

The president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is making what has been dubbed an unofficial visit to India to promote his family’s real estate projects. But he’s also planning to deliver a foreign policy speech on Indo-Pacific relations at an event with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Beginning Tuesday, Trump Jr. will have a full schedule of meet-and-greets with investors and business leaders throughout India, where the Trump family has real estate projects – Mumbai, the New Delhi suburb of Gurgaon, the western city of Pune and the eastern city of Kolkata.

Jordan Libowitz, the communications director for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), told the Post, “Trump’s company is literally selling access to the president’s son overseas. For many people wanting to impact American policy in the region, the cost of a condo is a small price to pay to lobby one of the people closest to the president, far away from watchful eyes.”

Don Jr. Advises Trump After School Shooting: Don’t Go Wobbly on Guns

He pushed dad to keep AR-15s legal while they both watched Parkland teen survivors speaking out on TV
    20 FEB 2018 AT 08:45 ET

President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., urged his dad not to cave in to calls for gun control as both men watched teens who survived the shooting in Parkland, Florida call for action on TV news programs.

The Daily Beast reported on Tuesday that Trump Jr. “has been assuring his dad that the right move was to stay strong on gun rights and draw a hard line on the issue that helped propel him in the 2016 election.”

According to the report, Trump Jr. insisted that his dad refuse to revive any version of the assault weapons ban, which would have prevented the sale of the type of gun used at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

The Daily Beast noted that the discussion came as Trump and his son watched students who survived the shooting call for gun control on TV.

Aaandddddd, as expected some Caucasians are very angry about this. Some are saying groups are raising these funds for these kids because movie theaters don’t accept EBT cards. Amen. Every time I read one of their disparaging or jealous remarks, Maya Angelou’s poem comes to my mind and gives me comfort.
You may write me down in history
        With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

        Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
        Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
        With the certainty of tides,
        Just like hopes springing high,
        Still I’ll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
        Bowed head and lowered eyes?
        Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
        Weakened by my soulful cries.

        Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.

        Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history’s shame
        I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
        I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
        I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
        I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
        I rise
        I rise
        I rise.
