That’s his job. When he was named, he was empowered/instructed to look into the “FBI investigation of Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election and related matters.” That there is a broad mandate…

These kernels aren’t from Mueller’s office: We’ve seen time and again (and again) that his office is one of Washington’s few leak-free zones.

Yes, it looks bad. Based on conversations with White House insiders, I can tell you they’re more bearish than ever about the outcome. But we’re all guessing.

Paid by Putin: Bernie Sanders’ Ongoing Conspiracy Against the United States

    Follow the money.

For nearly 14 months, Bernie Sanders’ role in Russia’s unprecedented attack against our nation has gone conveniently underreported. It made sense after all as our corporate media needed him for their weekly “Democrats In Disarray” segments. Chris Hayes needs Bernie like an addict needs his fix. Chuck Todd continues to gracefully gave Sanders unprecedented airtime which was in no way related to his wife’s firm giving $2 million to the Bernie 2016 PAC. Cenk Uygur and The Young Turks gleefully propped up Sanders’ candidacy and have continued to speak of him in glowing terms, which surely had nothing to do with their $4 million contribution from former Republican governor Buddy Roemer or Uygur’s convenient transition from a Republican to a Democrat during the George W. Bush Administration. At a time when nearly the entire world is vocally denouncing Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders’ silence has been deafening.

Yet Sanders continues to be given airtime for precisely that reason: he speaks to secondary issues, his go-to issues, during a time when the majority of media coverage is centered on Donald Trump and Russia. What’s ironic is the fact that these platforms are only available to Sanders because he admittedly ran as a Democrat for the media exposure during the 2016 Democratic primary campaign. Then and only then could he have the much-needed access to public debates, interviews, software, and all other resources afforded to him by the Democratic National Committee. Sanders ended up using all these opportunities to enrich himself and those closest to him. During the campaign, Sanders attended Hamilton, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and flew to the Vatican all thanks to his newly afforded lifestyle. As his campaign progressed, he replaced his talk about the “evil millionaires and billionaires” and replaced it with “billionaires.” That seems to be directly related to the fact that Sanders himself became a millionaire thanks to the campaign and could now afford such luxuries as a third home and a $700 jacket. All and all, not too bad for a self-described Democratic socialist who didn’t have a steady paycheck until just shy of his 40th birthday.

    • Liza says:

“At a time when nearly the entire world is vocally denouncing Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders’ silence has been deafening.”

This isn’t true. I follow Bernie on both Facebook and Twitter. I see his posts everyday.

One example – no one did a better job of (trying to) educate people about Trump’s tax giveaway to the wealthy. In fact, a good cyberspace friend of mine, a tax attorney in Phoenix, appeared in about three of the videos.

Honestly, I don’t get the Bernie trashing. I just don’t.

But I’m okay with people having opinions, that is fine. It’s just that they should also have facts. And Bernie has been SUPER PRO-ACTIVE in educating people via social media an he has been anything but silent on the horrors of Trump et al.

      Bernie is not the enemy.

      • Liza says:

Bernie does social media better than ANYONE else in Congress. He covers a full range of issues, he links good articles and videos, and he does his own videos which are generally excellent.

As the two tweets above demonstrate, Bernie is goes where the silence is.

How many people in Congress are talking about Yemen where a humanitarian crisis is escalating? The Saudis have no intention of ending the “war” anytime soon and Trump has promised them all the weapons they need.

I don’t understand why this okay.

      • Liza says:

      • Ametia says:

Hi Liza, you share whatever you like on 3 Chics.

Personally, I’m not a Sanders fan.

I’m not for any politician who is not a Democrat and supports the Democratic

      • Liza says:

        Hi, Ametia,

I know you don’t like Bernie. And I know that there is (or was) a (huge) problem with his being an Independent posing as a Democrat so he could run in the primary.

I don’t know Bernie’s intentions. I hope he doesn’t run in 2020, he’s just too damn old for starters.

But I think it would be to the Democrats’ advantage to note the things that he has done well and leverage that experience, take it to the next level. Bernie does social media extremely well and while he has the funds to hire folks to do it for him, there is much to be learned. I’ve given this a lot of thought in relation to our CD2 House of Representatives election. We have quite a few Democratic candidates but most of them lack funding. One way to partially overcome that obstacle is to be really good at social media and this is where I believe Bernie’s examples are helpful. But we don’t learn from former “adversaries” if we can’t put down the hatchet.

I just want to take back the House and Senate in 2018 and get down to the business of impeaching that fat f*ck impostor who is occupying the Oval Office.

    • Liza says:

“…he speaks to secondary issues, his go-to issues, during a time when the majority of media coverage is centered on Donald Trump and Russia.”

This is not true either. Sanders speaks to current issues in addition to keeping his focus on the issues that he has become known for – income inequality, universal healthcare, raising the minimum wage, etc…

I think of this as one of his better qualities.

Bernie Sanders obviously has staff doing his social media. They just happen to be really good.

Does he cover all the issues that are the most important to me? No. But he covers more issues that are important to me than any other politician.
