I will remind people that THEY HAD A PILOT PROGRAM for STEALING CHILDREN.

A Pilot Program that NEVER INCLUDED A REUNIFICATION PORTION.

Because, they NEVER INTENDED TO GIVE BACK THESE CHILDREN.

So, I want to make that absolutely clear.

Stealing people’s children has become a BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY, ladies and gentlemen.

Another update Sunday Morning from a Congresswoman who has been on this topic from the very beginning.

And, let’s be clear – these folks need to be brought up on charges at The Hague for what they’ve done to these children.

One of the reunification stories…the people from this Administration should be on their way TO JAIL for what they’ve done to these children

    There are two types of immunity that a prosecutor can grant — “Use and derivative use immunity (called “Use Immunity” for short) or “Transactional Immunity” The first type is the normal offered by prosecutors and the second is like a Unicorn of the Law. I’ll try to emplain —

    Use and derivative use immunity means that the prosecutor cannot charge you with any crime you specifically testify about — nor can they charge you with any crimes they figure out from that testimony (that’s the derivative use part). But wait! They can charge you with those other crimes if they have an independent source of evidence (say another snitch) that allows them to develop enough evidence without the testimony you provided. That’s a bit complex, but here is an example. If you were testifying about a robbery, but someone was shot and you had use immunity for the robbery — but you testified as to where the gun used was ditched — they could not use your testimony as the basis for going and finding the gun and then charging you with a gun offense (like felon in possession or some such). However, if some citizen was fishing and hooked the gun in a pond, and your prints were all over it, they could use the gun to help prove you were a felon in possession. Because they did not find the gun in any way as a result (derivative use) of your testimony. Got it?

    Now transactional immunity means the prosecution agrees not to charge you with any crime associated with the whole of the transaction(s) about which you testify — regardless of whether they have an independent source of information or evidence. So, in the example above, the prosecution couldn’t charge you with the felon in possession if you has transactional immunity. You would be free and clear on all charges that might be related to the criminal “transaction.” The only person I really remember ever getting transactional immunity in federal court was — wait for it — Monica Lewinsky.

    One last deal. No matter what kind of immunity you have, prosecutors can always charge you with perjury (lying under oath) if you lie about material details or even if you leave out some material details that really ought to have been included in an answer. This is how many “too clever” defendants who get immunity end up doing long time.

    In an unusual move, Paul wrote that he will meet with Trump on Monday to discuss allegations that Brennan is “monetizing his security clearance” and “making millions of dollars divulging secrets to mainstream media.” Paul added that he would ask Trump to revoke Brennan’s clearance.

    In the battle of two very different sequels at the box office over the weekend, Denzel Washington’s action pic “The Equalizer 2” has narrowly won out over the ABBA jukebox musical “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.”

    Studios estimated Sunday that the R-rated “Equalizer” follow-up grossed $35.8 million from North American theaters over the weekend. It’s Washington’s first sequel and the biggest opening of director Antoine Fuqua’s career. The first “Equalizer,” from 2014, opened similarly and went on to earn more than $190 million worldwide.

    Second place went to Universal Pictures’ “Mamma Mia 2,” which took in $34.4 million, a sum that was driven by an audience that was 83 percent female and 64 percent over 25. The film brought back much of the original cast, like Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan, and added Cher, Andy Garcia and Lily James to the mix. Critics overall gave the sequel better marks than the first, which still went on to gross more than $600 million worldwide 10 years ago.

    CHICAGO — Willie Wilson, the millionaire businessman and candidate for Chicago mayor, handed out cash to potential voters Sunday morning at a church on Chicago’s South Side.

    Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, himself seeking reelection, joined Wilson at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church at the event.

    An aide to Wilson said the businessman gave away $300,000 to 2,000 people through the Dr. Willie Wilson Foundation, a 501(c)(3). Such organizations are tax-exempt, must not be organized for the benefit of private interests and are restricted in how much political activities they can conduct. Wilson says he organized the giveaway to assist homeowners who are struggling to pay their property tax bills.

    “My wife and I have been blessed by God to be able to get a few of the material things out of life and so it’s up to us to now continually to share back with all of you all and others,” Wilson told church members during the event.

    Wilson’s campaign spokesman insists today’s appearance was not campaign related. But Chicago politicos on both sides of the aisle raised concerns about the event.

      Yeah, Ann Kirkpatrick is the elderly Republican-lite ding bat that the Democratic party, specifically the DCCC, is ramming down our throats in my congressional district (AZ CD2).

      They had a candidate forum last Thursday, 450 people attended. They made it known they did not like Ann.

      When she represented CD1 in northern Arizona, she was Annie Oakley, a gun loving cowgirl with an “A” rating from the NRA. Well, when the tide changed she decided she did not want to be Annie Oakley anymore. So, she tells people publicly (she has said this many times), that she changed her mind when people she knew personally got shot, Gabrielle Giffords and Judge John Roll in the Tucson massacre (Jan, 2011).

      She repeats this over and over, tone deaf to how offensive it is. Anyone who got shot prior to January 2011 didn’t matter because she didn’t know them.

      I could go on and on about how bad she is for my district, there are other issues like opposing the legalization of marijuana.

      But suffice it to say that the politically engaged Democratic voters in this district are seething with rage that this ding bat was imported from northern AZ and rammed down our throats by the DCCC because apparently they think we are too stupid to pick a good candidate who actually lives in our district.

        I’ll probably vote for Matt Heinz in the primary. He’s the only candidate who raised enough money to compete with Ann K who is taking PAC money. But Bruce Wheeler (former state legislator) and Billy Kovacs have consistently been the crowd favorites at the forums.

        Matt Heinz is a physician at Tucson Medical Center and a former state legislator as well. Billy, Bruce, and Matt are almost interchangeable if you’re talking about their politics. But Billy and Bruce haven’t raised nearly enough money to run a campaign.

        I think CD2 would be just fine with any one of these three.

    Welcome to Monday morning, Americans. Your president published a series of tweets overnight, directed at Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, raising the prospect of a war.

    Under normal circumstances, when a sitting American president threatens a possible war with a foreign adversary, it would be a development of great international significance. But Donald Trump’s presidency offers little in the way of normal circumstances.

    It’s an awkward feeling. On the one hand, the Commander in Chief of the world’s strongest military is publicly raising the prospect of a deadly conflict, and it seems irresponsible to just shrug that off as background noise. On the other hand, most observers realize that Trump is an erratic amateur with the temperament of an elementary-school bully, who finds joy in chest-thumping bluster, and whose occasional tantrums frequently amount to very little.

    The former suggests last night’s presidential tweets were important. The latter suggests we should roll our eyes and focus our attention elsewhere.

    The uncertainty is itself an issue the nation needs to come to terms with. When a sitting American president threatens a war, and no one’s sure whether to take it seriously, there’s a problem.

    Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination is controversial for a variety of reasons, but near the top of the list are the conservative jurist’s views related to the power of the American presidency.

    As has been well-documented, Donald Trump’s choice for the high court is on record arguing that sitting presidents shouldn’t have to deal with “time-consuming and distracting” lawsuits and investigations. In Kavanaugh’s vision, a president shouldn’t have to deal with civil suits, criminal probes, or even questions from federal prosecutors.

    But the scope of the judge’s thinking on the subject is still coming into focus. The Associated Press reported over the weekend:

    Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh suggested several years ago that the unanimous high court ruling in 1974 that forced President Richard Nixon to turn over the Watergate tapes, leading to the end of his presidency, may have been wrongly decided.

    Kavanaugh was taking part in a roundtable discussion with other lawyers when he said at three different points that the decision in U.S. v. Nixon, which marked limits on a president’s ability to withhold information needed for a criminal prosecution, may have come out the wrong way.
