Even though I am fully vaccinated and past the 14 day wait for antibodies, I will be fully double masked until September at the earliest.
Waiting for the government to take these vaccines of “emergency” status, so that employers can start lowering the boom, and the unvaccinated will have to choose between whatever foolish reason for not being vaccinated, and a paycheck. I spend more time at work than any other place outside of my home, especially during this pandemic. I want the workplace to be as safe for me as possible.
I also hope that one or both of the main vaccines gets approval for 12-15 year olds. This would take care of our High School age population, and pre-teens. I would feel a lot better about Peanut returning to in-person schooling if she was vaccinated. I would feel better about her doing extra-curricular activities if she was vaccinated.
We still have to make sure that the vaccine gets to the homebound, and to our rural citizens that want it. I am all about getting shots to those that want them. I am not going to sit around begging folks to take something that could save their lives. We should prioritize vaccines that way too. I look at the nightmare in Michigan. The Governor needs to prioritize getting all the major urban areas vaccinated. All the areas with representatives who voted to take away the powers that she had to help during this health crisis? Phuck ’em. They voted for clowns; take responsibility for those votes.😒
The day before this article came out, I was talking to a friend about how, when it’s all said and done, someone is going to win the Nobel Prize for the science behind the COVID Vaccines. I didn’t know who, but I knew someone would.
Then, this article dropped. I believe that she is the one. Without her building the scientific foundation, we would have never had the vaccines this fast. This woman going against the scientific grain is going to wind up saving billions of people.The thought of that is overwhelming 😢😢
