The President and the Democrats are proposing a two trillion infrastructure plan.

The Republicans think that someone is playing with them. They are trying to find a way to combat the Democrats’ proposal. Their old playbook doesn’t work. They put forth trillions of tax cuts, and the economy wasn’t exploding before COVID, and folks could see that. They also can see the crumbling infrastructure.

They have tried to pick at parts of the plan. You can see when they’ve gotten talking points distributed. Heard that Idiot Governor from South Dakota, as well as others talk about ‘ pipes aren’t infrastructure.’

Oh really? Tell that to the people of Flint, Michigan, and those folks in Texas who were just flooded out.

Then, their next attack was on the caregiver part. See, here’s the thing – this pandemic has just accentuated how important caregivers are to our economy, and how important they are to keep us functioning.

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg said something absolutely true, but, the right-wing lost their mind.

From a Yahoo article:

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg tells Yahoo Finance Presents it’s well beyond time to correct the racially inequities weaved into the fabric of the nation’s infrastructure.

“So one of the problems with the racially destructive choices that were made in the past is that it’s a lot harder to reverse when it’s in the form of a big concrete highway. There are many places in the country where it’s been shown that choices were made to run a highway right through the heart of what had been a thriving Black neighborhood, often dividing that neighborhood into or clearing it out entirely. And there’s frankly, a lot of documentary evidence that often this wasn’t just done out of convenience, sometimes it was done on purpose, and we have a chance to get it right,” Buttigieg says.

Racial inequities in infrastructure?

After all, this is America. Racism is built into anything. Look at the highways of this country and research what used to be there before the highway. Dollars to donuts, it was a functioning Black neighborhood.

You thought that it was ‘coincidence’ that all these highways just ‘happened’ to go through all these previously Black neighborhoods? Really? Seriously? You never thought about why public transportation was never expanded out into the suburbs Really? You never thought about why that didn’t happen? Racism.

So glad folks brought receipts when the right-wing tried to play that Secretary Pete wasn’t coming with statements based in fact.

And, what about Senator ‘ We can’t have infrastructure unless 10 GQP Senators Sign Onto it’ Manchin?

He’s about the phuck around and find out. Nobody is here for his performative bi-partisanship co-splay nonsense that goes nowhere, but, he gets pets on the head from the MSM. He’s not reading the room right. Nobody is playing with him, and will not sit around and let him play a bi-partisan game which leaves us with nothing, or a severely watered down bill. He’s gonna learn about that, and especially Voting Rights – nobody is here for his foolishness.

The GQP isn’t a serious negotiating partner. They are not in support of infrastructure, because it would help the economy, and be attributed to the Democrats. They continue to choose Economic TREASON against this country, and this is no different. They will not step up with a serious proposal, so it’s time to just pass it, and move on.

“..Three people have died in what Danish health authorities say is a large outbreak of salmonella that has left 33 people ill.

Nineteen people have been treated in hospital, according to Denmark’s SSI health agency. Those involved in the outbreak are aged between two and 92.

All those affected ate Husk brand psyllium husk capsules from batches recalled by manufacturer Orkla Care.

Authorities found traces of salmonella in the products at patients’ homes.

The herbal products are generally used as a laxative. Luise Müller of Denmark’s Statens Serum Institut said it was the first time the agency had found a herbal medicine to be the cause of a salmonella outbreak.

It is not clear which ingredient could have caused the poisoning.

Although the main focus of the Danish health investigation had been Husk capsules, Mr Mageli said the recall also applied to Husk powder. The company issued its last recall of a batch of Husk supplements on Monday…”
