And those who believe that EVERYONE’S STORY that has been institutionally excluded
IS WORTH HEARING.
They want to WHITEWASH HISTORY and suppress the truth.
That’s what the entire anti-CRT hysteria is about.
Not about CRT, because CRT is only taught IN LAW SCHOOLS.
It’s about the TRUTH about this country, and not some sanitized version that enables certain White folks to live in a land of delusion.
Just pursing my lips as I read this story.
Just pissed me off.😠😠😠
Y’all, this is my sister. Read and share her story.
I’m so proud of her for speaking about what happened.

the white conservative parent of a K-12 child is the enemy of every one else, on a great number of levels
it's almost as if we have mid-century segregationists in charge of things again https://t.co/rTgNekXSsr

This was always the point of the CRT hysteria—
to teach white children that slavery was just "involuntary relocation" so they don't feel bad about what their ancestors did to Black people in this country.
Classic fascist move. https://t.co/bADgz2cfr2

Only in Texas: the Texas Education Agency is proposing to the State Board of Education (who decides state curriculum) to change the word “slavery” to “involuntary relocation”. The SBOE hearings on social studies curriculum are this summer. @UnitedSua

I read that study. I keep waiting for someone to do the same thing for slavery descendants and nothing. No one wants to touch that hornet's nest, but I genuinely feel, reparations aside, it will make a huge difference in everyone's lives.
