The Supreme Court Strikes Down Affirmative Action

I like this take on it: the Supreme Court has struck down Affirmative Action in College Admissions for everyone but WHITE PEOPLE.

It was a 6-3 ruling.
That 6-3 would never have happened if folks had acted right in 2016.

When we told you that THE COURT was on the line in 2016, there were those who pursed their lips to tell us that ‘ they couldn’t be scared with The Court’.

When I tell you don’t open up your muthaphuckin’ mouth to say anything….

DON’T OPEN IT.

For those who had 11 Billionty Reasons why they couldn’t vote for Hillary in 2016…

Shut your mouths too.

We TOLD you what was going to happen with regards to The Supreme Court, and you didn’t care.

As for the ‘merits’ of the case…
It’s interesting that they never touch LEGACY ADMISSIONS.

While we’re talking affirmative action, 43% of white students admitted to Harvard in 2019 were legacies, athletes or related to staff/donors.
UH HUH
UH HUH

For those Asians chasing White Acceptance who attached themselves to this racist lawsuit…..

As a Black woman who has been Black in America longer than 3 days, and who graduated from not one, but, two of those Elite White Institutions….

You will never be White, dear.
Period.
And, some delusion that you have that these private institutions are about to start having demographics like the University of California system?

I’m not going to say all that I want to say, but I’ll just say this..
You are living in a delusional world if you think those White folks are going to have the demographics of these elite institutions change to look like the University of California system.
It ain’t even happening.

KBJ is absolutely on point.

From Sotemayor’s dissent:

Today, this Court stands in the way and rolls back decades of precedent and momentous progress. It holds that
race can no longer be used in a limited way in college admissions to achieve such critical benefits. In so holding, the
Court cements a superficial rule of colorblindness as a constitutional principle in an endemically segregated society
where race has always mattered and continues to matter. The Court subverts the constitutional guarantee of equal
protection by further entrenching racial inequality in education, the very foundation of our democratic government
and pluralistic society. Because the Court’s opinion is not grounded in law or fact and contravenes the vision of equality
embodied in the Fourteenth Amendment, I dissent.

Diversity is OK when putting your life on the line, though:

I guess the recent college cheating scandal didn’t factor into today’s SCOTUS decision.

I know it’s my own belief, but I’ve always felt the current ramped-up attacks on affirmative action stemmed from having a two term Black president who attended Ivy League schools.

It’s like they thought “oh shit, we really gotta stop those n*ggers from getting educated!”

Thing is, they’ve been attacking public education for that very reason, and for a VERY long time.

An educated Black person is dangerous to white supremacy. And Obama made them lose
