Open Thread | How The Affirmative Action Case Might Effect HBCU’s

One of the issues that came up after the Supreme Court’s horrible Affirmative Action, was how this would affect HBCU’s.
Historically Black Colleges and Universities were developed post-Civil War to educate the newly freed Black populace. The question was what would happen with HBCU’s in response to the Supreme Court’s offensive ruling this week.

Point me to a Public HBCU, and I will point you to a college that has been UNDERFUNDED to the tunes of HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

Reality Check: RBG didn’t retire because she didn’t want to and y’all have to get over that. Also she didn’t trust the Senate would confirm another liberal like her to the court. She had a point. https://t.co/XPMGdzUINk

RBG should have retired at the beginning of President Obama’s 2nd term.

      That isn’t hindsight.

However, it is blasphemous to say it because RBG was much loved by many and her supporters choose to be blind to the obvious.

People get old, they get sick, they die.

PBO lost two appointments he should have had. The one stolen by Mitch McConnell and RBG’s replacement.

Just want to give a hearty and heartfelt welcome to folk fully realizing what Black folk have realized for generations:
Your rights are temporary and can be removed.

Dred Scott. 3/5ths. Separate but equal. Now abortion. Anti-gay. Affirmative action.

Twisting the meaning of equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment to defend colorblindness is a fraudulent trick. Colorblindness at its core is about evading responsibility for a racist past and perpetuating White Supremacy in the present.

The FDA approved a blood test that can identify pregnant women at imminent risk of pre-eclampsia, the first advance in diagnosing the deadly condition since it was discovered more than a century ago
