Open Thread | It’s January….We Need to Start Spreading The Word About the USPS and Their Potential Sabotage of Mail Ballots for the November 2026 Elections

I have strongly, for the past 5+ years, told anyone who has a Mail Ballot, that if they don’t have the option of dropping their Mail Ballot off at a Election Authority Drop Box and if they must send their Mail Ballot back by mail..
1. DO NOT put it in a USPS Mailbox
2. DO NOT give it to your local Mailman.

YOU SHOULD GO LITERALLY INTO THE POST OFFICE AND WATCH THE POSTAL EMPLOYEE HAND STAMP YOUR BALLOT.

It’s January. Democrats need to start getting the word out for Mail Ballots. They have months to get organized and start on the local level.

Vote as soon as you can.

The USPS just changed how postmarks work—and it will affect mail-in voting while hitting Americans with late fees on everything from tax payments to rent checks.
Starting in 2026, your postmark date won’t reflect when you actually mailed something anymore. Instead of stamping mail with the date you dropped it in a mailbox or handed it to a postal worker, USPS will now mark it with whenever their sorting machine gets around to processing it—potentially days later.

Please note;
1. IF you have an option for an Election Jurisdiction MAIL DROP BOX, USE IT.
2. IF you have to use the USPS to return your Mail Ballot, please note the changes.

Am I the only one who didn’t know that the Opening Ceremony for The Olympics is Friday?

Texas-9 didn’t just swing to the left on Saturday… It took a rocket ship. GOP should be worried. Why?

    1. Dems are now outperforming Harris’ 2024 baseline by 12 pts in the avg. special.

    2. The party that outperforms in specials went on to win the House in the last 5 midterms.

    Breaking NYT:

Behind closed doors, Tulsi Gabbard met with some of the FBI field agents responsible for the Georgia election office raid.

During the meeting, she called Trump.

Trump addressed the agents on speakerphone, asking them questions as well as praising them for their work on the inquiry.

Trump Had Unusual Call With F.B.I. Agents After Election Center Search

Tulsi Gabbard’s role in brokering the call and President Trump’s decision to directly press frontline agents on the inquiry are outside the bounds of typical procedure, The Times has learned.

By any measure, the F.B.I.’s search of an election center in Fulton County, Ga., last week was extraordinary. Agents seized truckloads of 2020 ballots, as President Trump harnessed the levers of government to not only buttress his false claims of widespread voter fraud, but also to try to build a criminal case against those he believes wronged him.

What happened the next day was in some ways even more unusual, The New York Times has learned.

Behind closed doors, Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, met with some of the same F.B.I. agents, members of the bureau’s field office in Atlanta, which is conducting the election inquiry, three people with knowledge of the meeting said. Neither could say why Ms. Gabbard, who also appeared on site at the search, was there, but her continued presence has raised eyebrows given that her role overseeing the nation’s intelligence agencies does not include on-site involvement in criminal investigative work…

WSJ: There is a whistleblower complaint against Tulsi Gabbard that is so sensitive that it is “said to be locked in a safe,” and the administration has spent months trying to figure out how inform Congress.
