White House releases President Obama Shows Origianl Birth Certificate, according to Jay Carney Press Secreatary.  POTUS to make a statement and take questions around 9:45 am EST/CT this morning.

So it has come down to the First African American President of the United States having to present his birth certificate to the NATION.  3 Chics sincerely hope the WORLD is watching this.  To see the idiocy and blatant racist ignorance of America.

Sane Americans know that a piece of paper will NEVER quell the racial bigotry and hate of these folks.

THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
_______________________________________________________________________
For Immediate Release April 27, 2011
REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT
James S. Brady Press Briefing Room
9:48 A.M. PDT

THE PRESIDENT: Hello, everybody. Now, let me just comment, first of all, on the fact that I can’t get the networks to break in on all kinds of other discussions — (laughter.) I was just back there listening to Chuck — he was saying, it’s amazing that he’s not going to be talking about national security. I would not have the networks breaking in if I was talking about that, Chuck, and you know it.

Q Wrong channel. (Laughter.)

THE PRESIDENT: As many of you have been briefed, we provided additional information today about the site of my birth. Now, this issue has been going on for two, two and a half years now. I think it started during the campaign. And I have to say that over the last two and a half years I have watched with bemusement, I’ve been puzzled at the degree to which this thing just kept on going. We’ve had every official in Hawaii, Democrat and Republican, every news outlet that has investigated this, confirm that, yes, in fact, I was born in Hawaii, August 4, 1961, in Kapiolani Hospital.

We’ve posted the certification that is given by the state of Hawaii on the Internet for everybody to see. People have provided affidavits that they, in fact, have seen this birth certificate. And yet this thing just keeps on going.

Now, normally I would not comment on something like this, because obviously there’s a lot of stuff swirling in the press on at any given day and I’ve got other things to do. But two weeks ago, when the Republican House had put forward a budget that will have huge consequences potentially to the country, and when I gave a speech about my budget and how I felt that we needed to invest in education and infrastructure and making sure that we had a strong safety net for our seniors even as we were closing the deficit, during that entire week the dominant news story wasn’t about these huge, monumental choices that we’re going to have to make as a nation. It was about my birth certificate. And that was true on most of the news outlets that were represented here.

And so I just want to make a larger point here. We’ve got some enormous challenges out there. There are a lot of folks out there who are still looking for work. Everybody is still suffering under high gas prices. We’re going to have to make a series of very difficult decisions about how we invest in our future but also get a hold of our deficit and our debt — how do we do that in a balanced way.

And this is going to generate huge and serious debates, important debates. And there are going to be some fierce disagreements — and that’s good. That’s how democracy is supposed to work. And I am confident that the American people and America’s political leaders can come together in a bipartisan way and solve these problems. We always have.

But we’re not going to be able to do it if we are distracted. We’re not going to be able to do it if we spend time vilifying each other. We’re not going to be able to do it if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts. We’re not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers.

We live in a serious time right now and we have the potential to deal with the issues that we confront in a way that will make our kids and our grandkids and our great grandkids proud. And I have every confidence that America in the 21st century is going to be able to come out on top just like we always have. But we’re going to have to get serious to do it.

I know that there’s going to be a segment of people for which, no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest. But I’m speaking to the vast majority of the American people, as well as to the press. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do. I’ve got better stuff to do. We’ve got big problems to solve. And I’m confident we can solve them, but we’re going to have to focus on them — not on this.

Thanks very much, everybody.

I Almost Want to Rip Up My Own Birth Certificate
    By Steve Weinstein

I am a white Jewish American. My family escaped–often in a sprint, sometimes prostrate on the bottom of a rowboat—Cossacks and communists and Nazis so that I might be here today. Many of them didn’t make it.

I live in the middle of Los Angeles. Gay people are everywhere and considered as normal as anyone else. Black people too. Persians, Buddhists, Sikhs, astrologers and witches are ho-hum. My mechanic is Pakistani. I probably run into more Latinos everyday than I do white people. When I grew up, our mayor was black. Today our mayor is Hispanic. No one seems to notice.

It is a privilege to live like this. It is lovely.
And obviously I reside in La La Land because yesterday, Birth Certificate Day, punched me in the mouth. I was stricken, paralyzed with rage.

To see laid bare the brazen racial hatred coursing through the blood of so many millions of people who also call themselves American, well it actually made me cry. I’d thought, in 2011, that we were better than that. We aren’t. We are still desperately sick. And it made me ashamed before all of those that we continue to torment.

I should have known better. About ten years ago, I went to a wedding in Memphis, Tennessee, which included a preliminary lunch at the home of some fantastically polite and generous white people in the suburbs. They fed us lavishly. Laughed at our jokes. Expressed real interest in our pursuits and lives back home. They loaned us their car. They offered us a place to sleep “anytime.” They were basically the nicest people I had ever met in my life.

Then the 40-year-old woman who lived in this beautiful house asked what we had planned that night. “We’re going to check out Beale Street,” I answered like a typical tourist. Her face flinched a fraction in disappointment and concern. “Oh,” she said. “Don’t you think it’s a bit dark down there?” “Dark?” I smirked like an idiot. “The whole place is lit up like high noon in neon lights.”

And then we elected a black president.

I know racism persists. Arizona, “Ground Zero Mosque” and “Mau Mau” are ominous signs of this despicable cancer. But I was not prepared for this buffoon, this nauseating jester of unflagging privilege, to amplify this revolting malice. To feed his ugly sucking egomania, Donald Trump opted to speak for those people in Tennessee and so many others. Black people, he lied again and again, are not good enough to be president. Black people are not good enough for Harvard. Black people are lesser. Illegitimate. Frauds and Conmen. It is high time that these people relearned their place. In short, he raved, “The Blacks” are Not Us.

I have been rejected. I have lost. I have failed. But I cannot imagine what it must feel like to listen to this malignant rebuff, this dehumanizing talk essentially of elimination from the mix of America itself. I realize that at least some of this bile is opportunism. The opposition stokes racial animus not from conviction, but simply to tilt the balance of power. Many don’t mean it. It’s just Nixon and Rove’s amoral and effective tool.

But the nakedness of the hate disclosed by Trump and the birthers was stupefying. It floored me. I could not comprehend that at least half of GOP voters and who knows how many more were cheering him on, nodding their odious assent. I wanted to divorce myself from them, from this country that could harbor such repulsiveness on such a wide scale. And most of all, even if it’s meaningless and solely to make myself stop weeping for a second, I wanted to apologize to my fellow Americans whose pain I know I can never know.

    I’m so sorry.

Because if this is how we treat a man as smart and gifted and dignified and accomplished as President Obama, imagine how we treat everyone else?

We must do better. The yellowing scrap that is my own birth certificate from Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Hollywood demands nothing less.

Now CNN, MSNBC, FOX, CNBC, et, al y’all should get about the business of reporting something NEWS WORTHY. Oh, say, like Paul Ryan and the GOP’s plans to decimate MEDICARE, destroy unions, and jobs, the middle class, and America as we know it.

Get busy, you phucking clowns, and produce some real news.

  3. Ametia says:

Here’s why the REpublican Party as we know it is DONE, just like the MEDIA:

    Source: NBC News
    From NBC’s Shawna Thomas

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Donald Trump is “proud” of himself for, as he puts it, “getting the president to release his birth certificate.” In the minutes before Trump landed in Portsmouth, NH, to begin a day of stumping, the White House released President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, and Trump told the press he heard about it while flying to the airfield.

“Today I’m very proud of myself, because I’ve accomplished something that no one else has been able to accomplish,” Trump said, adding, “Our president has finally released a birth certificate.”

However, he said he would have to check out the certificate himself and wondered why the president didn’t do this “a long time ago.”

With his Trump-emblazoned helicopter behind him, he began to answer questions about the birth certificate issue and whether he would run or not. Trump reiterated that he wouldn’t announce until NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice is over, but that the public would be “surprised” by his decision. “I think if I do run I’ll do very well. Look, I’m already leading the polls and I’m not running.” He continued, “I think I’d beat Obama.”

Keep at it, Trump… the racist love you, and the GOP helped to breed them.

The Republican PARTY is DONE, STICK A FORK IN’EM!

      • All of the racist mofos should feel like damn fools for this fuckery. And that means you CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, ABC, NBC. I’m speaking of you, beyotches, pretending facts is not facts. Dirty sobs!

      • Ametia says:

Now if the media would request to see Donald Trump’s TAX RETURNS…

      • There you go ! But they won’t ask to see Trump’s Tax returns. He’ll get a pass because of white privilege! That’s the way it works in this country. Blacks are held to a different standard. Racist mofos!

        • Ametia says:

Donald Trump’s a collective boil on America’s racist ass, right now.

Why doesn’t the media aske Trump and the rest of the resentful white folks and liberal friends, whay aren’t they trying to get into HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES?

          There, affirmative action RESOLVED! /snark

Robert Gibbs to Donald Trump: Where are the tax returns?

Former White House press secretary and Obama confidante Robert Gibbs is throwing down the gauntlet on Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump said he’d release his tax returns as soon as the president released his birth certificate, so the ball is in his court now and I know everybody is anxious to see his tax returns over the last 10 years,” Gibbs told POLITICO.

Trump first floated the trade-off in an interview with ABC earlier this month.

“Maybe I’m going to do the tax returns when Obama does his birth certificate,” said the real estate mogul, whose wealth has long been a matter of dispute. “I may tie my tax returns [to the birth certificate]. I’d love to give my tax returns.”

At a Wednesday morning news conference in New Hampshire following the president’s release of his birth certificate, Trump repeatedly ignored questions about whether he’d fulfill his pledge, POLITICO’s Maggie Haberman reports.

But now he’s being called out by one of the president’s closest advisers. What say you, Mr. Trump?

Breaking News Alert: Obama says release of birth certificate intended to end debate
    April 27, 2011 10:05:49 AM
    —————————————-

President Obama, speaking shortly after the White House released his “long form” birth certificate, said he hoped the action would end debate over his birthplace. He said he had been “puzzled” by the persistence of those questions and was concerned that they were creating a distraction from more serious matters.

“We’re not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers,” he said, adding, “We do not have time to discuss this.”

Now the media needs to report on the GOP’s antics to dismantle MEDICARE, instead of making any efforts to bring JOBS to America!

  7. Ametia says:

Remember half of REPUBLICANS believe the BIRTHERS nonsense. Wonder why… And now the GOP’s trying to run from the racist fools, naw. They’re just as complicit in this mockery of our President. This is a day of EXTEME INFAMY for America.

  8. Ametia says:

“America doesn’t have time for this kind of sillyness!” Sideshows & carnival bawkers.

  9. jonolan says:

It’s about damn time he did that. If he’d done it right away, the same way that McCain – the Old White Man who got hit with the exact same question – did, this would never have been an issue at all.

But hey! If you’ve that much of a problem with it, it just proves that you’re the racists ones and the ones who never were, aren’t, and never will be truly American, preferring to exist within my nation’s borders but never as part of the nation.

    • Ametia says:

Look, 3 Chics doesn’t mind your comment., but the GTFO statement is being deleted….mmmkay!

    • Lisa MB says:

What is “truly American?” Please enlighten me.

And please tell me what being a “part of the nation” means? What’s the litmus test?

    • kefauver says:

What a creeper you are. Please show me where McCain got hammered with the same treatment and continues to up to this day. Obama has had to defend his citizenship record since 2008 and he provided a birth certificate back then! What does he have to do to convince you ignorant asses? You know the State Department requires a valid birth certificate to qualify for a US passport, right? Do you think the State Department has been covering for him this whole time? Get a clue.

      • Ametia says:

Hi kefauver. Welcome to 3 Chics. Speak your mind here. Thanks for stopping by.

      • Welcome to 3 Chics, Kefauver!

        Thank you!

      • kefauver says:

No problem, y’all. Thanks for providing yet another space on the internet that actually focuses on the good that this administration does. Thanks to both of you for pointing me this way. I read your posts about this place on BWD’s blog and The People’s View. Thought I’d check it out. I’m sick of the ignorant birthers and that comment equating what McCain has experienced with what Obama has experienced re: citizenship questions is just plain wrong.

      • Ametia says:

Glad you feel safe enough to check us out, kefauver. 3 Chics tries its best to bring information and truth about our president and other happenings. Our style is unique in some ways, but overall, we strive to TELL THE TRUTH!

That being said, we’re not falling for the ole PBO’s going through what Clinto, McCain, blah, blah, blah went through. Nope, not going to let these folks trivalize, minimize and negate RACISM. BIRTHER-=RACISM. The.END.

White House releases original Obama birth certificate
By the CNN Wire StaffApril 27, 2011 — Updated 1339 GMT (2139 HKT)

Washington (CNN) — The Obama administration is releasing copies of President Barack Obama’s original long-form birth certificate, White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer announced Wednesday.

Obama will discuss the decision to release the certificate Wednesday morning, the White House announced.

“The president believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn’t good for the country,” Pfeiffer said. “It may have been good politics and good (television), but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country.”

“At a time of great consequence for this country — when we should be debating how we win the future, reduce our deficit, deal with high gas prices, and bring stability to the Middle East, Washington, DC, was once again distracted by a fake issue,” Pfeiffer added. “The president’s hope is that with this step, we can move on to debating the bigger issues that matter to the American people and the future of the country.”

Pfeiffer told reporters that the so-called “birther debate” has been politically damaging to the Republican Party.

Obama released a legally binding “certificate of live birth” in 2008, but many opponents of the president continue to assert he was born overseas.

While the president has tried to make light of the controversy, the question has remained political red meat for some of his critics. A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll showed that nearly 75% of Americans believe Obama was definitely or probably born in the United States. More than four in 10 Republicans, however, believe he probably or definitely was not born in America.

The U.S. Constitution says only “natural born” citizens can become president — a vague clause that some members of the birther movement contend disqualifies Obama from the presidency.

Skeptics contend, among other things, that Obama was born in his father’s home country of Kenya. Potential GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump recently seized on the issue, saying he had doubts about Obama’s background.

The administration had to make a special request from the state of Hawaii to get the long-form birth certificate released, White House Legal Counsel Bob Bauer noted. Typically, the state only releases a certificate of live birth when people request a birth certificate.

Allegations that Obama was not born in the United States have been repeatedly discredited. A recent CNN investigation turned up no evidence to support the birther claims.

    • The MSM is complicit in this birther fuckery!

    • Ametia says:

INDEED! PBO eluded to that fact, masterfully. Ratings &profit, you can’t tell me that the media hasn’t made the most $$ off of this president than any other, by highlighting the mockery of this Black President by lowest, base consciousness of raceist Americans.

Karma will collect for these shenanigans.

  11. Ametia says:

    RACIST AMERICA TO PRESIDENT OBAMA:

SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS, BOY! Godamn shame

  12. Lisa MB says:

    WTF?

Tell me it isn’t so? Can we PLEASE spend my tax dollars on something worthwhile. Like…I’m stretching here…JOB CREATION.

Pathetic. We should have made W provide proof of literacy. Now THERE was something to be concerned about.

    • Ametia says:

*SIGH* It’s true, LisaMB. I broke down and cried when I heard CNN announce it. But we don’t have time to tally long. We have to stand with our president, and send him our love and prayers. He knows what he’s doing, and I believe it is part of stratergy to illustrate the birthers are as phoney as a $2 bill.

    • Morning Lisa!

Precisely! All of this rhetoric is about a black man daring to hold the highest office in the land. And the gall of Pat Buchanan to ask for the President’s test scores? They should have been asking to see George W Bush’s test scores because we know he couldn’t even read a fking teleprompter! America is a fking racist ass country!

      • Lisa MB says:

Ametia – Tears, indeed. But like SG2 says, “America is a fking racist ass country!” I just wish people would be HONEST and admit this has nothing to do with whether or not he’s actual “American” but that he is a BLACK MAN.

I’m tired of people pretending this has to do with love of country or any other BS they continue to drag out. They are uncomfortable with the fact he is BLACK. Period. Plain and simple.

And yes, folks, that makes you RACIST.

If being called a RACIST makes you defensive, ask yourself, “WHY?”

I ain’t judging. I’m asking you to OWN YOUR SH*T.

Be racist and discuss the real problems.
Be racist and be willing to have a thoughtful, intelligent debate about the budget, education, the deficit, the wars, etc.

Just stop pretending that race isn’t the real issue.

You may fool some folks with your BS, but trust me, most of us see right through it.

        OWN IT.

And let’s get busy makin’ this a country that works for ALL it’s citizens, just not the top 1%.

        Deal?

  13. Ametia says:

This is a heartbreakingly SHAMEFUL day in America. Let’s send prayers to President Obama, his family and the administration.

  14. It’s got damn shame! This is a fking racist ass country. We know it isn’t about a fking piece of piece of paper. It’s about a black man being in the White House. Racist mofos!

    • Ametia says:

I know how you feel, SG2. My heart breaks to have to witness this, but you and I have been down this road, although not holding a politcal office, like PBO.

I do believe this is a strategic move on the White House’s end. It will show that the birth certicate is not the issue for the BIRTHER/racist Americans. It will highlight them as ignorant, shallow, bigots they truly are, because they’ll ALWAYS see President Obama as the BLACK man who does not belong in the White House.
