Even Ann Romney’s comments in her speech were veiled with WHITENESS. “Mitt’s going to save our country.” Save it from what, whom? I can tell you as an American, Mitt will not fail,” “This is our country.”
These fools better recognize that this country called America, was built on the backs of SLAVES. So if there’s anyone who saved America it wil be its DIVERSITY.
From TPM: RNC Attendee Allegedly Threw Nuts At Black CNN Camerawoman, Said ‘This Is How We Feed Animals’
An attendee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN and said “This is how we feed animals” before being removed from the convention, a network official confirmed to TPM.
The CNN official declined to confirm specific details of the incident to TPM but generally confirmed an account posted on Twitter by former MSNBC and Current anchor David Shuster: “GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”
It is not clear whether the alleged culprit was a delegate or attending the convention in some other capacity.
In a written statement, CNN addressed the matter but divulged few details: “CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”
TPM’s calls to RNC and convention officials were not immediately returned.

Wednesday, August 29, 2012 A Particularly “Low” Class of White People: Republicans Throw Nuts at Black Folks; They Heckle the “Foreign” Delegate from Puerto Rico
Their forefathers were John Birchers. Their grand-pappies and grandmas likely spent time at the monthly lynching tree. Some of them were members of White Citizens Councils, the “polite” racists, who stood against civil rights for black folks and upheld Jim and Jane Crow. Earlier this year, the most zealous among them booed gay soldiers, howled in glee at the prospect of a person being executed by the State, and cheered people dying because some sad soul did not have health insurance.
This is the contemporary face of the Republican Party, who the Tea Party GOP are and have always been. When Republicans heckled Zoraida Fonalledas, the representative from Puerto Rico to their own convention with nativist chants earlier today, they showed the American people who and what they really are…again.
[And do not buy into the excuse-making: Chants of “U.S.A.” have nothing to do with an internecine conflict between Ron Paul and establishment conservatives. Rather, this episode has everything to do with white conservative xenophobia and anti-immigrant zeal by a group of mouth-breathing Right-wing troglodytes who believe that Puerto Ricans are dangerous Spanish speaking “foreigners.”]

CNN Goes On Air With Story About Incident Against Network’s Black Camerawoman
Source: Talking Points Memo
DAVID TAINTOR 5:50 PM EDT, WEDNESDAY AUGUST 29, 2012
On air this evening, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer called attention to the network’s earlier report on two Republican National Convention attendees throwing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman and saying, “This is how we feed animals.” The attendees were removed from the Tampa Bay Times Forum after the exchange.
Blitzer called the incident “truly shocking” and said it “hit home” for everyone at the network. CNN political analyst Donna Brazile said during the segment she hopes the two attendees have their convention credentials revoked.

Disturbed Man Gets Past Convention Security, Gives Keynote Address
Posted by Andy Borowitz
TAMPA (The Borowitz Report)—A mentally unhinged man slipped past security at the Republican National Convention last night and delivered a keynote address before he was subdued.
The man ranted incoherently on a variety of subjects, frightening many in the national television audience as security officials plotted their next move…Continue Reading >>

CNN should reveal details of nut-throwing incident
By Greg Sargent
As you’ve surely heard by now, two GOP convention attendees were ejected from the festivities last night after throwing nuts at a black CNN camera-woman. The words “this is how we feed animals” were uttered.
The incident was first tweeted by David Shuster and confirmed by TPM. The GOP put out a statement condemning the incident as “deplorable,” which is good. CNN put out its own terse statement last night confirming the bare minimum about the affair.
But as my Post colleague Erik Wemple noted last night, the question is whether CNN, which presumably knows all the details about the incident, will treat this as a news story, and report in full detail what happened.
The answer, so far, appears to be No. CNN has since posted a brief item on the incident, but here’s what it does not tell you: The identity of the target of the nut attack or of the alleged nut hurlers. Whoever wrote the CNN item did not say whether it made any attempt to interview the target — or to identify the nut throwers.
As Josh Marshall notes, CNN probably doesn’t want to become part of the story itself. That’s understandable, but this is news. There is no evidence that whoever did this held any position of any significance within the GOP. But Wemple rightly points out that for all we know, the nut hurlers could be elected officials in some capacity. The details may make this story less damaging, rather than more. Either way, they need to come out.
CNN is trying to carve out a position for itself as the last neutral cable channel standing, in a world dominated by increasingly polarized cable coverage of politics, and increasingly polarized coverage of politics in general. Getting into detail about this story would presumably open it up to attack from the right. The last thing the network wants is for its neutrality to be called into question during the GOP convention.

It’s this faux neutrality to meet some contrived balance to advertisers is why CNN has been dismissed as a source-presenting false equivalencies (point-counter-point) just leaves viewers who demand more answers in depth unsatisfied. I moved on to MSNBC and blogs like this years ago… It’s not polarization but a paradigm shift.
Exactly,, Jamal. This “both sides” BS doesn’t fly with the informed.

GOP Set to Blast Obama’s Foreign Policy
By NEIL KING JR.
TAMPA, Fla.—A presidential election dominated by jobs, debt and the size of government has left little room for foreign policy, but that is set to change as Mitt Romney and the Republicans turn their sights on President Barack Obama’s record overseas.
In a series of speeches starting with a Romney address Wednesday in Indianapolis, the Republicans will seek to portray the president as feckless and wavering in confronting threats in Syria, Iran, North Korea and China, Romney advisers said.
“In no region of the world is our influence stronger now than it was 3½ years ago,” said Alex Wong, Mr. Romney’s top foreign-policy adviser.
