This is the charred body of Jesse Washington and whites from Waco — not ISIS — burned him alive
    07 FEB 2015 AT 05:49 ET

They burned him alive in an iron cage, and as he screamed and writhed in the agony of hell they made a sport of his death.

After listening to one newscast after another rightly condemn the barbaric killing of that Jordanian air force pilot at the bloody hands of ISIS, I couldn’t sleep. My mind kept roaming the past trying to retrieve a vaguely remembered photograph that I had seen long ago in the archives of a college library in Texas.

Suddenly, around two in the morning, the image materialized in my head. I made my way down the hall to my computer and typed in: “Waco, Texas. Lynching.”

Eeeeew! Glenn Thrush sounds like a really icky disease – and that politico right winger who bears the name is just as icky.

Thank you so much for providing the Freedom Ride history and the great photo gallery.

The Nashville riders wrote their wills beforehand knowing that they were putting their lives on the line.

The atrocities they endured were horrible and were a continuation of all the terrorism that had targeted Blacks in the past before the Freedom Rides.

Meanwhile the media keeps plugging along with the adventures of ISIS, while KKK COPS are killing our boys and men, harassing our women and children.

    • eliihass says:

Yup. It’s the look over there not here disease that generally afflicts us Americans. And the media obliges because heaven forbid one points out the fact that we have our version of soulless, evil racists perpetrating same or worse right here in America – and getting away with it too.

      • Ametia says:

yes, and HIT DOGS will HOLLER when PBO points out America’s obvious HYPOCRISY.

What does he care, from day one, they’ve labeled our president UNAMERICAN. When in fact, no one can be more UNAMERICAN than these ugly money-hungry, racists bigots.

  5. What’s the difference between ISIS burning up the Jordanian pilot & what KKK Christians did to Freedom Riders?

    • Ametia says:

What evil, soullessness, inhumanity, to fire bomb a bus loaded with HUMAN BEINGS.

      • And they act appalled at Isis. We not too long ago while folks in this country burned people because they had the wrong color of skin.

      • eliihass says:

And they’re still at it – the only difference is that just like ISIS went from beheading to burning alive, here they’ve gone from burning and hanging to shooting unarmed black kids in broad daylight.

    • majiir says:

This is an example of some Christians using their religion to commit an atrocity. They probably went to church every Sunday, but the hatred in their hearts against allowing blacks to vote was more important to them than the teachings of Jesus. This is what PBO was talking about at the Prayer Breakfast. Those who are complaining the loudest about what the president said would be among the first to say that the burning of this bus and the fire hoses and dogs that were used against the protesters had nothing to do with Christianity. SMDH.
