They burned him alive in an iron cage, and as he screamed and writhed in the agony of hell they made a sport of his death.
After listening to one newscast after another rightly condemn the barbaric killing of that Jordanian air force pilot at the bloody hands of ISIS, I couldn’t sleep. My mind kept roaming the past trying to retrieve a vaguely remembered photograph that I had seen long ago in the archives of a college library in Texas.
Suddenly, around two in the morning, the image materialized in my head. I made my way down the hall to my computer and typed in: “Waco, Texas. Lynching.”

The Nashville riders wrote their wills beforehand knowing that they were putting their lives on the line.
The atrocities they endured were horrible and were a continuation of all the terrorism that had targeted Blacks in the past before the Freedom Rides.

These kinds of barbaric acts get lumped in & relegated to the annual February Black History month.
See, it’s much too much to speak about on a daily basis, to point out that these same acts are resurfacing under disguise as lawful, when it fact they are just as evil, barbaric, and UNJUST as ever.
What evil, soullessness, inhumanity, to fire bomb a bus loaded with HUMAN BEINGS.
And they act appalled at Isis. We not too long ago while folks in this country burned people because they had the wrong color of skin.
And they’re still at it – the only difference is that just like ISIS went from beheading to burning alive, here they’ve gone from burning and hanging to shooting unarmed black kids in broad daylight.
This is an example of some Christians using their religion to commit an atrocity. They probably went to church every Sunday, but the hatred in their hearts against allowing blacks to vote was more important to them than the teachings of Jesus. This is what PBO was talking about at the Prayer Breakfast. Those who are complaining the loudest about what the president said would be among the first to say that the burning of this bus and the fire hoses and dogs that were used against the protesters had nothing to do with Christianity. SMDH.

So tell me why is Lawrence whining about PBO’s speech? Lawrence can go pound sand. I’m sick of him always hurling insults about the Bible. If he doesn’t believe then fine but he doesn’t have to use his platform to insult other people’s faith.
