Freedom Caucus will back Senate budget ā€” in exchange for tax promise

By SARAH FERRIS and RACHAEL BADE

The House Freedom Caucus is willing to give their much-needed votes in support of the Senate GOPā€™s budget ā€” but first Speaker Paul Ryan must commit to a floor vote on tax reform far sooner than currently planned.

The House conservatives decided on the stance on a conference call Friday, according to GOP sources.

The budget could see a floor vote as soon as next week. In exchange for their votes, the Freedom Caucus wants a promise that GOP tax-writers will hold their first committee markup the following week, with a House floor vote on the tax bill in the second week of November.

Leadership sources say that timetable would be virtually impossible. Ryan said this week that the House would pass the tax bill by “early November.” It is unclear if the Freedom Caucus is willing to block the budget if it doesn’t get the schedule it wants on taxes.

The House and Senate need to clear identical budgets before Republicans can pass a tax bill under fast-track procedures that can evade Democratic filibusters.

The Senate passed a budget late Thursday that veers substantially from the House ā€” adding $1.5 trillion to the deficit to pay for tax cuts with no plans for spending cuts included in the House proposal.

    I would like to know..

what are the stats, say, over the past 20 years, of ALL THE MEMBERS OF AN ELITE SQUAD BEING KILLED.

    Not part of the squad..

    ALL OF THE SQUAD.

WHY do I think we can probably count it on less than two hands…over 20 years.

    Just a guess.

Wish someone would ask this White House.

Frederica Wilson is about every 5th Negro in America’s typical Nana.

That’s right teacher worked all her life trying to uplift knuckleheaded Black children teaching them. I’m blessed to have an entire wing of family of such people. Devoted their lives to it got degrees and letters for it.

To call her out of her name. To dehumanize her is to spit on our collective Grandmother’s and if we’re so tame as to accept that we actually don’t deserve to stand in front of a flag that represents the concept of America.
