Open Thread | I Can’t Believe That This Embarrassing Buffoon Is President

When I saw the first tweet about this letter, I refused to believe that it was real. Never in my life had I seen such foolishness and clownery attached to the Presidency of the United States.

No previous President had a staff that would release such idiocy for public consumption.

 
I have a phrase that I have been saying for awhile. It came about as I watched the MSM repeatedly talk about how THIS TIME Dolt45 had “become Presidential” .
By accomplishing the easiest task, they were in a hurry to elevate Dolt45.

My phrase?

” The curve for Unqualified White Men is REAL! ”

 Dolt45 had turned the Presidency into a participation trophy.

If ANY Previous President had presented themselves like this….it would have been playing on an endless loop, with commentary about the obvious instability of the President.

This is what our luck running out looks like. The betrayal of the Kurds will forever be a stain on this country.

The president had hoped to surprise the family of dead British teen Harry Dunn with a meeting with the woman who killed him. “And they weren’t ready for it,” he admitted.

You can almost imagine the reality-show excitement that surely went into the ill-considered plan to introduce Anne Sacoolas, the American diplomatic wife who killed 19-year-old motorcyclist Harry Dunn when she drove down the wrong side of an English lane in August, to Dunn’s grieving parents. Sacoolas left the U.K. in early September under diplomatic-immunity protections and has not been seen in public since.
The Dunn family, now in the United States to drum up support to send Sacoolas back to the U.K. to face justice, had accepted an “urgent” invitation by the White House from National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, to visit Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night.
President Trump said Wednesday that he had arranged the meeting at the request of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Speaking at a joint press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, he described the encounter as “beautiful in a certain way,” adding that he expressed condolences “on behalf of our country. ”
He then admitted that he tried to get the family to meet Sacoolas, who was waiting in an adjacent room. “I offered to bring the person in question in,” he said. “And they weren’t ready for it.”
Trump, it seems, thought he could convince the Dunns to meet the woman who killed their son, and would do so by opening a side door through which she would walk. The whole scene would be captured by a pool of photographers who had been summoned for the meeting, a family spokesman charged.

There is something so gross about this. Inhumane. Despicable. Disgusting. It just makes my blood boil, the utter callousness of this. The level of cruelty against this family. A fundamental dismissal of their pain and loss.

IN WHAT WORLD IS THIS OK?
We have a piece of human garbage as President, and is surrounded by staff who are equally repugnant.

    Was Jefferson Cleaners’ seven locations worth more than Cliff Huxtable’s basement OB/GYN practice? Would Whitley Gilbert qualify for a Pell Grant? Was Flavor Magazine struggling so badly that Khadijah James needed two roommates?

    These are the arguments that can ensue when the staff at The Root gets a break from the unending meetings we are required to attend as we advance the various causes we are accused of promoting—including anti-white rhetoric, the gay agenda, and the Popeye’s Chicken Mandate.

    So, during our downtime, we came up with a list of the wealthiest Black television characters of all time. Our requirements were as follows:

    Main characters only: We didn’t include ancillary characters like celebrated attorney Jackie Chiles, who ran a successful law practice on Seinfeld.

    No one-hit wonders: The show had to last for at least two seasons, which excluded entrepreneurs like the Ivy League-educated Frank Parrish, who inherited a restaurant on Frank’s Place.

    No dirty money: This has nothing to do with our morals or ethics. We made this decision because we couldn’t decide if Avon Barksdale moved more weight in West Baltimore than James “Ghost” St. Patrick in New York. Or did Franklin Saint have them all beat? He got his bricks from the U.S. government for the low-low, but we don’t know anything about that.*
    *We only used the value of their legal businesses and property

    We used 2019 dollars: Our figures for shows more than 20 years old were adjusted for inflation. We also used salaries from Payscale.com and real estate estimates from Zillow.

    Trump to attend 2020 candidate forum at historically black South Carolina college

    President Donald Trump has accepted an invitation to participate in a presidential candidate forum focused on improving the criminal justice system in the United States.

    His participation will bring him to the historically black Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, where he will share billing with half a dozen Democrats vying to replace him in 2020.

    The lead-up to Trump’s decision to join the program at Benedict the weekend of Oct. 25-27 was closely-guarded by organizers, who feared the president would either change his mind or alienate those who had already committed to attending or participating.
