Peanut got her first Pfizer shot on Friday. Now, just got to do the second shot and the 14 day antibodies countdown. I was 😢😢😢.

There haven’t been that many children who have gotten COVID. But, the majority of deaths were Black and Brown children, in disproportionate numbers. So, no, could not risk putting her in situations where she could catch COVID. She has been on real lockdown since February 2020. And, now will get to go to Summer Camp.🤗🤗

As far as these new CDC Guidelines….

Won’t be me.

Period.

I will be double 😷😷 until September at the earliest. The rest of you can open everything up.😒😒

We need to get to our neighbors about getting vaccinated. Over 100 million have gotten vaccinated. No more “wait and see”. Time to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Dear Men….maybe this will convince those of you who are unvaccinated🤔🤔

We need to concentrate on those with mobility issues- getting them the vaccine.
As for those able-bodied who STILL refuse to get it?😒😒

    After the 2016 election, Kushner and Observer Media chair Joseph Meyer reportedly sought to offload the paper to Trump allies, including American Media, the parent company of the National Enquirer, one of the media publications that portrayed Trump in a positive light during the campaign. But according to two sources, Kushner and Meyer found more attractive suitors in Hillaryland.

    In the days after the election, Observer Media executives took part in discussions with Saban and Brock.. ….Ken Kurson, then editor-in-chief of the Observer, confirmed to BuzzFeed News that he and Meyer spoke with Saban on the phone that winter. In January 2017, Kurson met Brock one-on-one..

    Brock declined to comment on his plans for the Observer.

    Saban, a brash media financier, was described by Politico in 2016 as “Team Clinton’s favorite billionaire,” known for his personal involvement in the minute details of Hillary’s campaign. Saban was also vocal in his opposition of Trump, calling him “dangerous” and a “clown” before the election.

    According to one source, Brock and Saban’s planned editorial direction for the site was made clear in the discussions. Just weeks before sitting down to discuss buying Kushner’s paper, Brock publicly declared his intention to turn his progressive website Shareblue into “the Breitbart of the left.” Saban, the source noted, was interested in having a presence in Washington.

    The talks fell apart over money. Kushner, according to one source familiar with the discussions, wanted $20 million for the property — double what he paid for it in 2006. Kurson told BuzzFeed News he was never involved in any discussions of the financials. Two sources close to Kushner told BuzzFeed News they were unaware of the discussions. Jared Kushner could not be reached directly for comment.

    “..May 5, 2021 – …Jared Kushner is founding an organization called the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace, to work on deepening the normalization agreements he helped strike between Israel and Arab countries.

    The big picture: The Abraham Accords, signed in September 2020, were arguably Trump’s biggest foreign policy achievement and the biggest breakthrough for relations between Israel and the Arab world for 25 years.

    Details: The non-partisan, non-profit organization will have a five-year mandate and be funded through private donations.

    According to a statement, it will focus on increasing trade and tourism between the five signatory countries — Israel, Bahrain, the UAE, Morocco and Sudan — and developing programs to foster people-to-people connections between the countries.

    It will also “provide analysis of the benefits of normalization and the potential benefits additional Arab countries can receive if they join the Abraham Accords.”

    Kushner is founding the institute with former White House envoy Avi Berkowitz, who helped negotiate the agreements; Israeli-American businessman and Democratic donor Haim Saban; and three heavy hitters from the region: the Emirati and Bahraini ambassadors to Washington, Yousef Al Otaiba and Abdulla R. Al-Khalifa, and Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi.

    The board is still being formed and is expected to include representatives from Morocco and Sudan. The founders also want to add more democrats and advisers from the region.
    The executive director will be Rob Greenway, formerly the top Middle East advisor on Donald Trump’s national security council.

    What they’re saying: “The energy and enthusiasm for the Accords across the region is truly remarkable,” the group said in a joint statement.

    “In less than a year, this warm peace is melting decades of misunderstanding and hostility across the region. This is a peace among peoples as much as it is among nations. This will be the institute’s focus – to nurture and deepen these human connections.”

    About a month before Trump left office, his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner took off on one last overseas trip. The official excursion cost U.S. taxpayers at least $24,335 in hotel costs alone, not including flights, local transportation, meals, as well as salary and overtime for Kushner’s Secret Service protective detail. It is virtually unheard of for former administration officials to keep their Secret Service protection once they leave office. However, prior to vacating the White House, Trump granted an additional six months of security for at least three Cabinet appointees and 13 members of his family, including Kushner.

    Kushner’s financial ties to the UAE have raised concerns among ethics watchdogs such as the nonpartisan Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

    Government officials from the UAE believed Kushner was “particularly manipulable” due to his extensive business dealings and longstanding money troubles, The Washington Post reported. When Kushner and wife Ivanka spent a luxury weekend in the Dominican Republic in 2018, U.S. taxpayers footed the bill for their security detail, spending more than $58,000 in public funds on room and board…”

    Clergy are subject to Federal income tax. The loophole w Joel Osteen is he stopped his salary in 2005. I doubt it was an altruistic move, but likely to avoid taxes. His living expenses are paid under the Lakewood Church = he’s living the good life as the Churches trust fund kid.

      The clergy pay their taxes in the same way Trump donated his salary.

    “…Whenever Joe Glickman heads out for groceries, he places an N95 mask over his face and tugs a cloth mask on top of it. He then pulls on a pair of goggles.

    He has used this safety protocol for the past 14 months. It did not change after he contracted the coronavirus in November. It did not budge when, earlier this month, he became fully vaccinated. And even though President Joe Biden said on Thursday that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask, Glickman said he planned to stay the course.

    In fact, he said, he plans to do his grocery run double-masked and goggled for at least the next five years.

    Even as a combination of evolving public health recommendations and pandemic fatigue lead more Americans to toss the masks they have worn for more than a year, Glickman is among those who say they plan to keep their faces covered in public indefinitely.

    For people like Glickman, a combination of anxiety, murky information about new virus variants and the emergence of an obdurate and sizable faction of vaccine holdouts means mask-free life is on hold — possibly forever.

    “I have no problem being one of the only people,” said Glickman, a professional photographer and musician from Albany, New York. “But I don’t think I’m going to be the only one.”

    But as more Americans become vaccinated and virus restrictions loosen, masks are at the center of a second round in the country’s culture brawl. This time, people who choose to continue to cover their faces have become targets of public ire.

    But for some people, no newfound freedom will persuade them to reveal their faces just yet. After a year, they say they have grown accustomed to the masks and glad for the extra safety they provide.

    A day after the CDC’s announcement, George Jones, 82, a retired mail carrier, stood in the sunshine outside of the General Grant Houses where he lives in Harlem in New York City and said his blue surgical mask — though uncomfortable and inconvenient — would stay put for at least another year.

    “I’m in no hurry; why should I be in a hurry?” said Jones, who became fully vaccinated about a month and a half ago. Until New York City reaches a higher level of vaccination — just 40% are completely vaccinated — he believes it is too risky to unmask. “Being around is more important. That’s what counts. I’m an old man — I’d like to be around as long as I can.”

    On Broadway, a group of young men walked past him, with not a mask in sight. Jones said he understood: “Young people, they figure they’re invulnerable — and I hope they are.”

    Public health data shows that masking and social distancing have most likely had far-reaching positive impacts, beyond slowing the spread of COVID-19. While over 34,000 adults died from influenza in the 2018-19 season, this year deaths are on track to remain in the hundreds, according to CDC data.

    Leni Cohen, 51, a retired kindergarten teacher from New York City who has a compromised immune system, said she planned to continue wearing a mask when she helped out as a substitute teacher. But what she would like more is for her students to stay masked.

    “Kindergartners, while adorable, are quick to share their secretions,” Cohen wrote in an email listing the illnesses, including colds, strep throat, pneumonia, influenza and parvovirus, that she has caught from her students over the years.

    “This year is so different!” she continued. “The kids are not sucking on their hair or putting classroom objects or thumbs in their mouths. Their mouths and noses are covered, so I’m (mostly) protected from their sneezes and coughs. I can see keeping up with masks. It is the safest I’ve ever felt in a classroom full of 5- and 6-year-olds.”

    Barry J. Neely, 41, a composer from Los Angeles, fell ill with the coronavirus in March 2020 and battled symptoms for months. He has also struggled with guilt over whether he had inadvertently infected people he came in contact with before his diagnosis — which came at a time when the government discouraged mask use.

    “It’s not hard to wear a mask,” Neely said. “It’s not hard in the least.”

    He is taking his cue from several East Asian countries, he added, where wearing a mask when you are feeling sick is not just socially acceptable but seen as considerate.

    “If I possibly spread a virus a year ago, and then learned that wearing a mask is important to prevent spreading this virus, then what’s the harm in wearing it if I have the common cold?” he said.

    A few say they have been surprised to find that they have grown to enjoy being hidden behind a mask, expressionless and anonymous.

    “As a woman, we feel like we have to, when we go out in public, put on a little bit of makeup, eyeliner, blush,” said Keela Samis, 57, an attorney from St. Petersburg, Florida, who is vaccinated and does not plan to stop wearing a mask. “With a mask I don’t have to. It simplified my life.”

    Samis added: “Even if I’m the only person on planet Earth that continues to wear the mask, if that’s what makes me feel comfortable, I’ll wear the mask.”
