The Slow Motion Lynching of President Barack Obama by Frank Schaeffer

The Slow Motion Lynching of President Obama-By Frank Schaeffer

We’ve been watching a slow motion lynching of a moderate brilliant family man, a father, and faithful loving husband. The Republicans in Congress are so dedicated to lynching the President they’ve been willing to shut down our government and risk the future of our economy.

Read the rest here.

One famous liberal commentator wrote a book on how Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neil could disagree and still be friends. Why, he asked on many a TV show promoting his book, couldn’t President Obama be like that? Because, I yelled at the screen, those two men were white Irish Americans and part of a ruling white oligarchy.

Reminder for those who’ve heard of Frank Schaeffer and for those who haven’t heard of him.  There are two good videos at the above link.

Thank you for reading this post, Tweeting it & posting to Face Book!

  1. There is a hero in everybody’s heart. I am so very thankful that our mom live to see our first Black President for all the people. Our dad celebrated his 91st birthday on Sunday, we are thankful and grateful that he is still in his right mind too! These are his best years to see progress still being made for all people. Really enjoyed the expressions from the blogs and the song. I am retired, caregiver to our dad. All of this is a trying of our faith.

I must say that the title of that article got my attention. I’m not familiar with that website,, but I would hope that Mr. Frank Schaeffer’s article gets a wider distribution. It is a well written article that really sums up what so many of us have been talking about now for years.

    • Ametia says:

Thank you Liza. They can’t take PBo and string him up in a tree, but the tactics used in their attempts to destroy hom are just as EVIL and dangerous to our society.

    • Liza says:

I agree, Ametia, it is evil and it is painful to watch and hear this every single day. These people have literally directed all of their energy into hating PBO, his family, and his supporters. It is beyond my understanding.

  3. Ametia says:

And Chris Matthews along with any other nut who asks why can’t PBO be like any other WHITE MAN says it all doesn’t it?

Jus CLUELESS and brimming with white male privilege to speak such fuckery.

    Thanks for frontpaging this.

I think he’s totally on the mark and has been on that mark since President Obama was elected.

    • Ametia says:

You’re welcome, and thank you for the tip. They couldn’t shut down our votes in 2008 & 2012 to elect and re-elect PBO, so the GOP, Take-back–my-country-teabaggers, left-right, and the CORPORATE MEDIA are desperately trying every sleazy trick in the book to DEBASE, DENIGRATE, DEMEAN, AND DISGRACE our POTUS.

    • Yahtc says:

I also want to add my thanks, Ametia.

      from the article:

We have a lot to do to heal this country of the damage done by the right wing Obama-haters and the Left wing know-it-all pundits who did not have his back because they don’t have the honesty to admit that we still live in a backward racist swamp of prejudice. Maybe in 50 years our country will be worthy of someone of President Obama’s forbearance again. For now we can just hope that the hatred of the Republican Party for our first black president doesn’t drive us to the brink of ruin again as they strip food from the mouths of the poor, and try to get people to not sign up for health care, just to get even with the black man they swore to destroy from the day that “uppity” black who is smarter than all of them put together took the oath of office.

God bless you Mr. President. I’m praying for you. I am so very sorry. But take heart, in the long reach of history the door you opened will stay open for the millions of Americans of all colors, genders and beliefs who will follow you. They will bless your name. So will history.

Yes, God Bless you, President Obama. I also so sorry for what these hateful racists have said and done to you! I am very proud and feel very fortunate that you are our President!
