Open Thread | More Background on November 2022 Elections

Found this tweet thread last week about the November 2022 Elections:

Be reminded…the GOP put in charge of their National Senate Campaigns a documented crook and thief.

So, can anyone be surprised that THIS happened?

And, they have no smaller donations coming in, because Dolt45 is fleecing those rubes…
and share those funds with the GOP?

Unpretentious, wise, principled, percipient, clear-eyed, genuine, fearless, consistent.. in it and still doing it for all the right reasons..

Authentic to the bone.. no cosplaying, no ploys, no trickery, no lame contrivances..

Zero ‘influencers’ needed to force-feed or force a connection.. zero digital armies conscripted to ‘hype’ and ‘amplify’ .. or to play save-a-damsel..

And most folks know the difference..

A decisive statewide vote in favor of abortion rights in traditionally conservative Kansas has been confirmed with a partial hand recount, with fewer than 100 votes changing after the last county reported results.

Approximately 9,000 transgender Floridians woke up today to find out they no longer have life-saving Medicaid coverage.

DeSantis bypassed the legislature and weaponized state agencies against his own constituents for simply minding their own business.

    This is not freedom.

So now the question is more urgent than ever: why did Trump keep those hundreds of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago (despite official demands to hand them back), and what did he intend to do with them?

  6. rikyrah says:

Michael Beschloss (@BeschlossDC) tweeted at 9:32 PM on Mon, Aug 22, 2022:
Also: did Trump make copies or notes from those classified documents he illicitly kept? Did he convey information from them to foreign governments or non-government actors who should not have them? And if so, what was his motive?

  7. rikyrah says:

Michael Beschloss (@BeschlossDC) tweeted at 9:41 PM on Mon, Aug 22, 2022:
Any chance he was going through more such classified documents when he made a rare visit to Trump Tower earlier this month?

Michael Beschloss (@BeschlossDC) tweeted at 9:57 PM on Mon, Aug 22, 2022:
The grand jury mentioned in @nytimes would naturally address whether ex-President or a family member illicitly used those classified documents to trade official national security secrets — directly or otherwise — with someone for cash, business and/or political advantage.

One of the ways crime bosses survive is by having underlings commit their crimes. If they ever run out of underlings and have to get their own hands dirty, it’s easier to nail them. Now we know that Trump rummaged through the boxes of classified documents, which proves his guilt.

Palmer Report (@PalmerReport) tweeted at 4:18 AM on Tue, Aug 23, 2022:
One would think that Trump would have had someone else rummage through the documents and tell him what was what, so he could keep his own fingerprints off it, literally and figuratively. But who does he even have left at this point?

Without us knowing the full extent of what he’s done.

Even if you can prove someone 99% guilty right from the start, it can take a ton of time and effort to fill in that final 1% of the gap, so that when this does go to trial, Trump is actually convicted – as opposed to acquitted and emboldened.

Also, I have been tweeting about this ad nauseam because telling voters, “things aren’t looking good for Democrats,” is a form of voter suppression. If voters feel “we are going to lose anyway,” they are less inclined to vote. This is not the typical election cycle… vote.
