Mitt Romney’s Ad: “Strong Leadership” “The Best Jobs Record In A Decade” Seriosuly?

There’s a reason why this AD is only 33 seconds in length….  and the one statement Romney touts about his JOBS record is a LIE.

Governor Romney’s ad about his record in Massachusetts bears little resemblance to reality. Unlike the governors who preceded and followed him, Romney didn’t govern during a recession, yet had the worst job record of all three. Massachusetts plunged to 47th of 50 in the nation in job creation and 44th in economic growth. He raised taxes and fees by $750 million a year – even the Cato Institute said Romney’s claim that he kept a no new taxes pledge was “mostly a myth” – and left his successor a billion dollar deficit. In 2002, Mitt Romney promised Massachusetts that his experience as a corporate buyout specialist would help lead an economic turnaround. Today, he’s making those same empty promises to the entire country. Romney Economics didn’t work then and it won’t work now.

Even the Republicans agree on your REAL record as Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney.

The Boston Globe has this to say about Mitt’s new TV Ad:

New Mitt Romney commercial presents Mass. record in favorable light

Mitt Romney today harked back to his tenure as governor of Massachusetts in a new television commercial arguing that he will bring the same focus to his first day as president as he displayed during his leadership of the state.

The presumptive Republican nominee boasts about his job-creation record, the balanced budgets he signed, and bipartisanship he fostered while serving as governor from 2003 to 2007.

The commercial uses loose language that presents Romney’s record in the most favorable light.

****For example, the commercial says, “Mitt Romney had the best jobs record in a decade.”

There have only been two governors during the bulk of the past decade: Romney and Democrat Deval Patrick. The latter has governed through the worst recession since the Great Depression. The decade that preceded Romney’s term, though, included the Clinton administration tech boom, when fellow Republicans William F. Weld, Paul Cellucci, and Jane Swift led the state.

President Obama has the REAL jobs record. He’s calling on CONGRESS to ACT, not his business buddies from Wall Street or special interest groups like ALEC, KOCH BROTHERS, etc.

Let’s stay armed with the FACTS!  Stay tunned for 3 Chics updates.
