Lots of good stuff:
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 will make a historic down payment on deficit reduction to fight inflation,
invest in domestic energy production and manufacturing, and reduce carbon emissions by roughly 40 percent by 2030. The bill will also finally allow Medicare to negotiate for prescription drug prices and extend the expanded Affordable Care Act program for three years, through 2025.
Total Deficit Reduction: $300+ Billion
1. Expands Medicare benefits: free vaccines (2023), $35/month insulin (2023) and caps out-of-pocket drug costs to an estimated $4,000 or less in 2024 and settling at $2,000 in 2025
2. Lowers energy bills: cuts energy bills by $500 to $1,000 per year
3. Makes historic climate investment: reduces carbon emissions by roughly 40% by 2030
4. Lowers health care costs: saves the average enrollee $800/year in the ACA marketplace, allows Medicare
to negotiate 100 drugs over the next decade, and requires drug companies to rebate back price increases
higher than inflation
5. Creates manufacturing jobs: more than $60 billion invested will create millions of new domestic clean
6. Invests in disadvantaged communities: cleaning up pollution and taking steps to reducing environmental
injustice with $60 billion for environmental justice
7. Closes tax loopholes used by wealthy: a 15% corporate minimum tax, a 1% fee on stock buybacks and
enhanced IRS enforcement
8. Protects families and small business making $400,000 or less
I want for people to grasp what President Biden has been able to achieve with such a slim majority in the House, and only 48 Democrats in the Senate. Has any President done so much with so little?
I don’t think so.
I also want people to grasp that if the Democrats can keep the House, and expand our lead into the Senate to 52 or 53 Democrats, and we can put into irrelevancy: Manchin, Sinema, and even Bernie. All the things that you heard about that sound great, but, had to be scuttled because of Manchin and Sinema – if we expand our lead in the Senate, then they become irrelevant.
You want better functioning Government, then ELECT MORE DEMOCRATS IN NOVEMBER! Top to Bottom, in every state.
The MSM is mad at all that President Biden has achieved. They resent the competence of his administration – always have. Competence and good government, with no leaks, is boring. That doesn’t give them material for books. How can they do a horserace with good governance?
The MSM has been out for President Biden, because he doesn’t help them with their gravy trains. It’s that simple.
“And remember, every single Republican in Congress voted against this bill…against lowering prescription drug prices, against lowering health care costs, against a fairer tax system…against tackling the climate crisis.”

From the American Rescue Plan to a once-in-a-generation infrastructure law.
From the most meaningful gun safety and veterans' health care laws in decades to the groundbreaking CHIPS and Science Law and historic Inflation Reduction Act.
We're getting the job done.

The Inflation Reduction Act will ensure that high-income people and corporations pay the taxes they already owe and impose a 15% minimum tax on large corporations reporting over $1 billion in profits. And, no one earning less than $400,000 a year will pay a penny more. pic.twitter.com/KKWLTceYzc

casting Biden's legislative achievements as "wins" on the mid-term scoreboard, as if governing were a sporting event, trivializes their impact on American life
big consequences for climate, infrastructure, chip manufacturing, Medicare, veterans and others https://t.co/ilyZCajoBc

Biden has had a great few weeks so they’re bringing back the oldies: “but what about my students loans?” and “no one likes Kamala/everyone who likes Kamala is evil.”
Those songs are played out tho. They don’t hit the same.

This was a momentous week #ForThePeople, capped off by House Democrats’ passage of the Inflation Reduction Act – lowering families’ kitchen table costs, combating the climate crisis, creating millions of good-paying jobs and dramatically reducing the deficit.

If you told me on 1/20/21 that Biden would pass COVID relief, infrastructure, a gun bill, veterans health, computer chips and climate, prescription and tax fairness in his first 18 months, I'd have asked you what you were smoking and asked for some. https://t.co/JuCu5nZpMq

I am absolutely amazed and stunned by how much President Biden and Vice President Harris have accomplished despite a tied and gridlocked Senate and a razor thin House Majority.
I would definitely say that Joe Biden is one of the most successful presidents of the past 3 decades.

President Biden named the 1st Black woman to SCOTUS. He signed ARP, BIF, PACT, CHIPS, & the 1st gun legislation in 30 years. He killed the leader of Al Qaeda. There were events, on camera, about all of these. Trump did none of these things. pic.twitter.com/VTEV8Ki3J0

.@POTUS "is poised to deliver the latest in a series of legislative victories that will ripple across the country for decades — lowering the cost of prescription drugs," "reducing the deficit," & "investing more than $370 billion into climate and energy." https://t.co/sorUQ1v4e7

Rep Shontel Brown with so much joy and clairty gives 3 reasons why the #InflationReductionAct is a BFD
1.⬇️ drug prices for Medicare beneficiaries
2. Largest federal climate investment that simulaneously creates jobs
3. ⬇️ national debt by ⬆️ taxes on major corporations https://t.co/uLckEToW47

– Lowering Energy Costs
– Combatting Inflation
– Reducing the Deficit
– Capping Seniors Drug Costs

Always doing the work👏🏾👏🏾
Exciting news — the House just passed the Inflation Reduction Act, which includes my Health Care Affordability Act!
My bill extends tax credits and lowers health care premium costs, and it will help save Americans $800 on average per year on their premiums.

Republicans have made it clear where they stand. They took a stand with drug manufacturers & big PhRMA and against Seniors. They stood against Veterans & with China … Meanwhile, Joe Biden + Democrats are on a historic winning streak delivering for the American people. pic.twitter.com/8wTyctnxQe
