Mississippi is one of the poorest states of the United States of America. We have Republicans running the state who literally have the slave master mentality. They thieve money from the least of these and be sure to enrich themselves.
Former NFL Player Brett Favre is a prime example of this.
Man stole money that was supposed to go for WELFARE – to the poorest of the poor.
First, there was the scandal of him being paid $1,000,000 from that money for speeches that he never did.
Now, we find out that he stole $5 million to build some sort of sport stadium for his daughter.
A phucking sports stadium, while the poor received nothing.
In Mississippi, the $6 million that Favre thieved from those who actually deserved it, could have gone a long way to help people.
How can this NOT be illegal?
How can this NOT be STEALING OF FUNDS?
PERIOD!
There needs to be a FEDERAL investigation into what happened with those funds.
This has to be THIEVERY.
There is NO WAY that you can say that it was LEGAL to take WELFARE FUNDS TO BUILD A PHUCKING SPORTS STADIUM.
NOTHING BUT THIEVERY!
THIS is why who you elect on the STATE LEVEL MATTERS!
We have the current Governor who sent back COVID funds, calling it ‘ left-wing’ policies, all the while he let the Capitol City-Jackson – go without water. The institutional and environmental racism that goes into what happened with Jackson. The State had MILLIONS, if not BILLIONS in infrastructure, but, somehow, those funds never got to Jackson, which has been begging for them, for DECADES. It was INSTITUTIONAL NEGLECT.
It was THIS Governor, who also shut down the investigator who was looking into the misuse of those welfare funds.
Don’t tell me that it doesn’t matter who you elect on the State level. It absolutely does.
In addition to the $6 million that Favre got his hands on of that welfare money, there was also the revelation of the $77 million that was misused by others. People put in charge of this money, and this is how they stole it.
When Republicans talk about ‘block granting’ monies to the States, this is exhibit A, B, and C, as to why that’s a bad idea. You never give that kind of money who are always talking out the sides of their mouths about how ‘ bad’ government is. And, it’s always those who come from the ‘leech’ states – states that receive far more back from the Federal Government than they send to it.
Brett Favre continued to press Mississippi state officials for help in paying for new sports facilities at Southern Miss after being told by the then-governor that the misuse of state welfare funds could be illegal, according to a court filing.

Brett Favre is worth $100 million & stole $5 million from the poorest Americans to build a stadium for his daughter’s college
Former Mississippi official John Davis walked away after pleading guilty to $77 million in welfare fraud

Wealthy-wanted a volleyball court for his kid.
These people were DENIED FUNDS FOE BASIC NEEDS. They missed out on meals, rent payments, etc because a WEALTHY HALL OF FAME QB COULD INSTALL A VOLLEYBALL COURT FOR HIS KID AT COLLEGE.
And HE *KNEW* PEOPLE WOULD SUFFER.

Brett Favre is a multi-millionaire. He basically stole from the poorest of the poor. This is not about politics, it's about humanity. Disgusting.

Newly released evidence shows Brett Favre and former Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant diverted "at least $5 million of the state’s welfare funds" to construct a new volleyball arena for the University of Southern Mississippi, per @ayewolfe

They killed Eric Garner for allegedly selling loose cigarettes. They killed George Floyd for an alleged counterfeit $20. But Brett Favre conspired w/people to steal $5M in welfare funds—people who have pled guilty to that theft—and yet he walks free w/o a charge or complaint.

I can’t stop thinking about how evil it is what Brett Favre did. A wealthy, famous white man – from a state with an unparalleled history of racialized poverty – steals welfare dollars from its poorest people. Truly super villain shit.

🚨 NEW: Texts indicate that Brett Favre asked about using prison labor to build tennis facilities at his daughter's college:

Thread 🧵
Let me explain something about the Italian elections for all the non Italians who just read MSM.
1) the R coalition got @ 42% of the vote of 64% Italians who voted (the lowest number ever).
2) 36% of Italians did NOT vote. Many lost hope during the Berlusconi years /1
— Marina Archer (@DrMarinaArcher) September 26, 2022
when there was no REAL opposition and in the end so-called progressives colluded with B in many ways. The system is very corrupt. Many young people did not vote because they “did not like any of the options.” They do not get that the least worst actually still exists. /2
— Marina Archer (@DrMarinaArcher) September 26, 2022
3) Italian students and workers who could not travel to their hometown of residence were NOT allowed to vote.
Big failure of the so-called center left (weak and not caring about the issues of citizens) created a situation where there was NO feasible coalition of all /3
— Marina Archer (@DrMarinaArcher) September 26, 2022
the Italians who did NOT vote for the R coalition. They are MORE than @ 42% but they did not band together.
4) So because of terrible elections laws the R coalition that gets @ 42% takes 2/3 of the entire Parliament. That 42% represents ONLY @ 26% of Italians. /4
