The UNITED STATES Department of Justice shared its investigative report on the town of Ferguson last week.
Folks RESIGNING and any FIRINGS is NOT good enough, nor is it JUST! It sends a message that their actions are still acceptable, only if they aren’t EXPOSED.
And once they get EXPOSED for their acts of racism, extortion, racketeering, etc, they become a few sacrificial lambs from the herd, and move on to another institution that practices the same SYSTEMIC RACISM, HATE, WHITE PRIVILEGE. The laws don’t apply to these folks, just the NON-WHITE FOLKS.

Ferguson police terrorized, abused the black community for years & then gassed them for grieving a child who had been shot down in the street. The abuse from the Ferguson pd is so horrid, so disturbing, that firing a few officers won’t cut it. Too much damage done. The entire department needs to be disbanded and start new so healing can begin. The Ferguson officials who engaged in racketeering & extortion need to be jailed. The law is the law!
rikyrah here: You know, one of the main reasons why folks hate the Federal Government, when it works for people, is that the Feds usually just bring in ‘the facts’. Cold. Hard. Brutal. It’s the facts that back up what every Black person in Ferguson already knew – they were targeted, and they were being bled dry by that Police Department, which didn’t want to serve them, but saw them as cash cows.
When the facts are laid out about the statistics, they can pretend all they want, but it’s there, plain and bare for the world to see how the Black population was abused and misused by this Police Department. Some of the stories are simply unreal, but, true. Arrested for sitting in YOUR Car, after a long time exercising. Arrested for walking down the street wrong. Explain to me how one walks down the street wrong? Arrested in your own driveway. Arrested for just sitting in a public place. These people were victimized for Existing While Black.

(Reuters) – The police chief of Ferguson, Missouri, will resign later on Wednesday, Fox News reported, citing sources from within the department.
Fox said Chief Tom Jackson was not pushed out or fired. Protesters have called for his removal since the shooting of an unarmed teenager last summer, which led to a Justice Department probe that found his department followed racially biased practices.

(Reuters) – The city manager of Ferguson, Missouri, has resigned in the wake of a U.S. Justice Department probe that found a range of systemic racially biased practices by the police and municipal court, the city said on Tuesday.
Ferguson City Council voted unanimously at a meeting on Tuesday to accept the resignation of City Manager John Shaw effective immediately. The city manager is the highest-ranking, non-elected municipal official and oversees the police department.

Amen! These vile, putrid examples of human beings were engaging in acts of blatant racism, discrimination, and injustice. When I read what Mayor Knowles said, I was livid. He had to know these types of things were going on, but he chose to ignore them. It wasn’t his problem because no one was jailing him for failing to pay small fines, harassing him on the streets and in his home, and he didn’t have to have the city’s chief judge tell him that failing to pay a small fine was a sign that he “lacked personal responsibility.” Knowles suffers from the same disease that Brockmeyer, Twitty, and the rest of those in Ferguson’s PD and judicial system. They suffer from the “If it isn’t happening to me, it doesn’t exist” syndrome. They set up a system of policing dispensing justice and made sure that it only worked in their favor, so yes, imho, they should all be fired. The DOJ should demand that the city fire all of the police officers, the mayor, and all Ferguson prosecutors, court officials, judges, city council members, etc. and start over..

I hope they give his butt the boot. He tainted the investigation into Michael Brown’s death at the hands of Darrell Wilson out of the gate by introducing the video from the store earlier that day and trying to make sure that public opinion turned against him. He’s a lowdown dog. Nothing would make me happier than to read in a few hours that he’s GONE.
